Thanks for writing this. I've always been afraid that in a debate (even informal) I would get tripped up over this very point. In high school I had a year of chemistry and a year of physics. And a freshman semester of physics in college. But I have still always thought I couldn't handle myself amongst true intellectuals. But this article gives me hope that just honest logic about the need for added directive intelligence (rather than unguided energy) makes the case.
Stranded on a desert island, we better be intelligently and intentionally moving the rocks to spell out "HELP". Because even in 100 million years, they aren't going to get there by themselves.
